Gangster Chhota Rajan went to court demanding a ban on the Netflix series ‘Scoop’

Hansal Mehta’s series ‘Scoop’ is currently streaming on Netflix. After an interview with gangster Chhota Rajan, another journalist, Jigna Vora, was accused of being involved in the murder of journalist Jyotirmay Dey. This series is based on the life of journalist Vora.

Actress Karishma Tanna has played the role of Vora. The series tells the story of fact and fiction about this mysterious murder. The same gangster Rajan has now filed a complaint in the Bombay High Court demanding to stop the series.

Rajan has demanded a ban saying that the use of the photo by the series without his permission is a violation of copyright. Advocate Mihir Desai filed a complaint on his behalf. Quoting Rajan, Advocate Desai said, ‘My picture has copyright and permission should be obtained for its use.’

He further says, ‘Only my face is shown. I have been shown as the person behind the murder. I have been convicted. I don’t dispute that. My appeal is pending. But should I be portrayed like this in front of the whole world?’ However, Ravi Kadam, senior advocate for Netflix, said that the trial court had convicted Rajan and submitted the documents stating that all the episodes of the series had already been streamed.
