Gorkha is one of the district of Nepal. It is connected historically with the creation of Nepal. You can hire cab or any other transportation medium. Regarding the places to visit in Gorkha there are Gorkha palace, Gorkha Museum, Liglig kot and the religious sites Manakamana. Gorkha durbar is the palace, fort and temple.
Through the western gate many pilgrims enter and emerging on an open terrace in front of the Kalika temple. In every available inch of timber you can find a psychedelic 17th century fantasy of peacocks, demons, and serpents. From the top of the palace you can see the magnificent peaks of Annapurna, Manaslu and Ganesh Himalaya. As durbar is the important religious site so if you are wearing leather shoes and belts etc then you should remove entering in there.
You will pass the Royal Guest House if you leave from the northern gate. There is crocodile carvings on the window frames.You can also visit Manakamana temple. It is a hindu temple. It is the sacred place of hindu Goddess Bhagwati which is an incarnation of Parbati. Since the 17th century it is said that the wishes are all granted from Goddess Manakamana who make the pilgrimage to her shrine to worship her.To reach Manakamana Temple you need to take cablecar from the gate of the Manakamana temple entrance.
In there on the way to the temple there are lots of stalls where you can buy lockets, keychain, ring and the things related for doing puja and many more. You can take photo in there where the photo is taken out in just a minute and give you in frame. There is a hotel as well where you can do lunch. In Gorkha you can also Liglig kot. It is at a hilltop of Palungtar municipality and is at height of 1437 meters from sea level. It is the place where the former monarchy of Nepal was established. Gorkha is a beautiful place to visit.
