Kathmandu- Even in the third week of the performance, “Mahapurush” is running full house. The film has sold house full shows in Kathmandu Valley on Saturday morning. It is said that the film collected 7 crore 4 lakh gross in two weeks of release. This film is in the race to make history in America as well as Nepal.
The film is being screened in America by Nepal Eleven Entertainment LLC. Prateek subedi of Nepal Eleven Entertainment LLC informed that the film which started from Dallas is getting audience in regular shows.
He informed that the film will be screened in every Nepali-speaking city in America. The demand for films is increasing. Even when local films are released, we are getting halls. While here, we are not doing private shows, but like Nepal, we are doing shows in such a way that you can sit and watch the movie directly, he said.
According to distributor subedi, 69 shows have already been done in Dallas by November 10, while 147 shows of the film ‘Mahapurush’, which is being shown in cities like Atlanta, Georgia, Baltimore, Maryland and North Carolina, Los Angeles, Denver, Akron, Houston, Austin, have already been done. Subedi said that it is the first to be shown in the style of a foreign film.
In its third week in Nepal, multiplex chain QFX alone has got 21 shows in its outlets across the country. Under QFX, one show at Darbar Cinemax, three shows at QFX in Bhaktapur, four shows at Labim Mall, three shows at Civil Mall, one show at Chayaan Center in Thamel. Under QFX Mofasal, one show was given in Nepalganj, two shows in Wootwal, one show in Damauli, two shows in Jalma in Narayanghat, one show in Biratnagar, two shows in Birtamode.
The multiplexes in Kathmandu have one show at Big Movies at City Center at Kamalpokhri, one show at Cuz Cinemas at Rising Mall at Darbarmarg, one show at Cine D Safe at CTC Mall at Sundhara and two shows at Fcube at KL Tower at Chabhill.
Two shows have been given at One Cinemas in Baneshwar and two shows at Kalimati. Similarly, under INI Cinemas, three shows have been given at Lotse Mall and three shows at INI in Butwal.
