Amazon Studios is pouring money to make Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden starred ‘Citadel‘. This very expensive spy-thriller show has not been released yet but its buzz is worldwide. According to the international media, 300 million dollars (2500 crores) have been spent on the production of the series.
‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ is said to be the second most expensive series of the show so far. Because some scenes of the thriller series had to be re-shot, the budget went out of control. After Joe Russo joined as a director in December 2021, this series started to be discussed worldwide. It is said that the cost of production skyrocketed as many scenes had to be re-shot after he joined it.
Russo intervened in the production saying that the filming had to be re-shot. Russo is famous for directing Marvel films such as Captain America: Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Endgame. Endgame earned a record at the Nepali box office.
Amazon had previously planned to make eight one-hour-long episodes, but changed its decision and decided to make six 40-minute-long episodes. Produced by Joey and Anthony Russo, ‘Citadel’ is released on April 28.
