A salary certificate is a document that provides information about an employee’s salary and other benefits. It is a legal requirement for companies to provide this document to their employees.
In Nepal, the law mandates that all employers provide a salary certificate to their employees on or before the payday. The law also requires that the employer should mention the following details in the certificate: monthly income, overtime hours, and overtime pay. The employer should also mention deductions from the employee’s wages such as taxes, social security contributions, and other deductions.
The salary certificate format must be written in Nepali language or English language. If it is not written in Nepali or English then it has to be translated by a certified translator from Nepali to English or from English to Nepali language.
