Asthma is a problem related to breathing. Asthma can be considered as a symptom rather than a disease. If there is a long-term problem in breathing, there is a possibility of asthma. There are mainly two types of asthma due to breathing problems, COPD (chronic asthma) and bronchial asthma (asthma-cough).
When breathing is difficult due to allergies in the airways, it is called asthma-cough, i.e. bronchial asthma. In this case, the airway becomes narrow. People who smoke and come in contact with smoke-dust for a long time may develop COPD asthma over time. This is the most common type of asthma.
The causes of asthma are also different. The most common causes of COPD asthma are smoking and air pollution. People who smoke for a long time or live near people who smoke and people who come in contact with a lot of air pollution get this asthma. Some people are also at risk of asthma due to genetics.
Asthma-cough is caused by environmental pollution, smoke, cold and different types of allergies. People who have to work in a lot of dust are also more at risk due to occupational exposure. Asthma is also present in people who have lung lesions due to TV or pneumonia. Some people may have asthma due to lung problems due to rheumatism. Patients with heart, kidney and anemia may develop fainting and asthma.
Who has more asthma?
COPD asthma is most common in people over the age of 50. This type of asthma is seen in people who have been in contact with smoke for a long time or smoke for a long time.
Children also have problems with asthma. Asthma problem is mainly seen in them due to genetic reasons. Children with frequent lung infections can also develop asthma. Children who come in contact with a lot of smoke and dust are also at risk of asthma.

Should asthma patients stop eating?
Asthma patients often hear that they should not eat this and that. But they are all lies. As there is no food that causes asthma, there is no need to eat much. Asthma patients should pay special attention to balanced diet and exercise. Eat more fruits and vegetables with antioxidants.
It is heard that people with asthma should not eat a lot of fruits including oranges and bananas. It also has no scientific basis. Fruits like oranges have more antioxidants. Therefore, asthma patients do not need to eat any fruits.
Asthma patients should not smoke and should not eat very cold food.
Avoidance:To avoid the risk of asthma, one should not smoke, avoid dust and smoke as much as possible, wear a mask when going outside the house, reduce the use of smoky stoves, exercise daily, stay away from allergens and avoid polluted air.
Treatment:Asthma is a common problem that appears after age, it seems that many people think that there is no need to continue treatment. But for a long time there is a problem in breathing, the cough continues. If you have chest pain or wheezing, you should go to the hospital and check whether you have asthma or not.
If it is treated on time with the advice of a doctor, the complications that may arise from it can be prevented. Inhalers are given to asthma patients. Its main treatment is ‘inhaler’.
As a chronic disease, like diabetes and high blood pressure, asthma medicine also needs to be used for a long time.
Complexity:If the asthma is not treated, the amount of oxygen in the body will be low, the amount of carbon dioxide will be high and it may even be necessary to wear oxygen at home.
Therefore, if the amount of carbon dioxide in the body is high, you may have to wear a machine called ‘Bipap’. Asthma progresses, it can also affect the right side of the heart, which can also cause a heart attack.
If the asthma gets too bad, the condition may require admission to the hospital. Complications such as blood clots in the legs and increased hemoglobin can also occur due to increased asthma.
Things to know:Asthma patients are given an inhaler that they take by mouth. But some people have a misconception that it is harmful and should not be used. But the most effective and least side-effect medicine for asthma is the inhaler.
Many people stop taking medicine without consulting a doctor. Doing so can make the problem more complicated. Therefore, the medicine should be taken for a certain period of time in consultation with the doctor.
Asthma patients should not exercise, we also hear that exercise worsens asthma. This is also a wrong concept. As you have asthma problems, you should do the exercise you can in the fresh air and it will also benefit you. Do not go for morning walk in contaminated air. Instead, pranayama and light exercise should be done indoors.
Those who have been using inhalers for a long time will have to use them for the rest of their lives.
Asthma-cough seen in young people and children may have to be stopped after regular use of medicine for a few years. In this case, you should consult a doctor.
